Music
Here are a few tunes that I recorded with some life long friends of mine. The band, “Burning Daylight,” is Rich Charron, Bill Siopes, George Panousis and myself. Most of the songs were recorded and mixed at Drake Lane Studios (e.g. my house) except for a number of Rich’s tracks which were recorded remotely at his place in Florida. “Black Magic Woman” was recorded eons ago in the basement of one of Bill’s friend’s house.
She came in through the bathroom window
Bill plays acoustic guitar and sings lead vocals. I’m on electric guitar, bass, and drums. Rich and George sing backup vocals.
and I love her
Another great Beatles tune. Bill is on the acoustic guitar and sings lead vocals. Rich plays classical guitar and sings backup vocals. George adds backup vocals. I play bass guitar, acoustic guitar and percussion.
Black Magic Woman
Bill sings lead vocals and plays acoustic guitar. George plays bass guitar, I play the electric guitar.
My Girl
Bill sings lead vocals and plays acoustic guitar. I am on bass, mandolin, and drums, and Rich and George sing backup vocals.
Brain Damage/Eclipse
When Rich sent me a couple of tracks of him singing this classic Pink Floyd song, I thought, “no way can we do this.” A dozen or so tracks later, we did. Rich did all the vocals and played the acoustic guitar. I played the electric guitar, bass, guitar, drums, and keyboards.
Quiet Spaces
An original tune by Rich and myself. I came up with the main guitar part and Rich added a tasty guitar noodle. We worked on the lyrics together on my deck one afternoon, and then Rich sang it.
Burning daylight in New England
An original song by Rich about growing up in Lowell, Massachusetts (where we are all from). Rich plays acoustic guitar and sings lead vocals. Bill plays mandolin and sings backup vocals. George sings backup vocals, and I play bass, drums, synths, and play the acoustic guitar solo.
Love and Wealth
This is an old bluegrass tune written by Charlie Louvin. Bill is on the acoustic guitar and sings lead vocals. George and Rich provide backup vocals, and I play the mandolin and bass.
Fugitive princess
This song is another original. The music is by me, and the lyrics are by Rich and me. I play all instruments.
Rocket man
A staple of Burning Daylight. Bill plays acoustic guitar and sings lead vocals. Rich and George provide backup vocals. I play bass, drum, and piano.
Videos
Here’s a link to a video of another band I was in called RUN EMC. It was a band of colleagues of mine when I worked at EMC corp. It was truly a privilege to play with these talented individuals. They are introduced while we play a rendition of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Pride and Joy from a show we performed at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas NV.
